A world of AGS
We use a new tool
the way we use a new instrument:
to tell the truth better.
The systems, research and methodology behind a single law.
Innovation
A philosophy without a mechanism does not survive growth.
AGS OS is the internal system that turns a constitution into working process: how a scene is reviewed, who may approve what, and what evidence a decision needs before it reaches production. Around it sits the research, and we publish what we learn.
What lives here
AGS OS
The constitution, made operable.
Artificial intelligence
Used in the workshop, never in the judgement.
Research
How a first encounter with a subject actually works.
Educational methodologies
The seven stages, written so others can use them.
Publications
What we learn, in the open.
Innovation Lab
Where a format is tested before it is promised.
White papers
Arguments long enough to be disagreed with properly.
The rule that governs this world
No technology here may know a child’s future before the child does.
The law does not care which instrument breaks it. A narrator, a soundtrack, a camera move and a model are all capable of the same violation: signalling an ending the protagonist has not reached. Tools speed up the work. They never make the judgement.
Where this stands
Written
Present
A creative constitution, in thirteen chapters.
Closed until the first work is finished. Tensions found during production are documented for the next version, not patched into the current one.
In development
Present
AGS OS.
Built alongside the first work rather than in advance of it, so the process is tested by production instead of by intention.
Openly unresolved
Present
How protagonists from different centuries may meet.
The most common devices in contemporary fantasy are available to us and we have refused them. A deliberate open question, not an oversight.
An invitation
If you work on learning, research or the tooling of production, the method is meant to be read — and argued with.
